Mehwish Iqbal has been awarded the Dyason Bequest in conjunction with her 2025 Residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, supported by the Art Gallery of New South Wales. The Cité Internationale des Arts, a renowned international residency program, provides a unique opportunity for artists to engage with Paris’s rich cultural and artistic environment.

From April to June, Mehwish will undertake a research project that will inform the development of her artistic practice, drawing on the diverse resources of the city. The Dyason Bequest assists Australian artists with overseas travel costs, and Mehwish is receiving this support through the Art Gallery of New South Wales. The outcomes of her residency will be shared upon completion.
